LCBDD is looking for people who enjoy working with kids and young adults to earn $35 an hour by participating in an exciting pilot project!
We know that all caregivers need a break. For families who care for children with disabilities, a few hours of respite (paid care provided by another to allow for a rest) can be a game changer.
In Licking County, we do not have enough respite options to give these families the support they need to thrive.
We are looking for people who want to become part of the solution to address this critical need! People with high expectations that can be great mentors and role models for children and young adults.
We are piloting a program that will allow a few new providers to participate in free training, then work one on one to support local families.
Do you meet these requirements?
- Able to work ten or more hours to work in the evenings and on weekends (This could be daytime hours in the summer )
- Well organized, flexible and good at creating schedules.
- Able to observe and understand unspoken cues.
- Willing to study and share resources
