Charlie Stumbo, of Pataskala, recently accepted his first full time job in Columbus and is taking more steps toward independence, with support from his family and LCBDD.


More than 50 Licking County youths supported by the Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities, are spending the summer working, volunteering and gaining job experience. Meet a few of them!


David Grover and Zachary Hogue, two teens supported by the Licking County Board of DD, volunteered at the Canal Market District, helping chef Andrew Spurlock with cooking demonstrations for the Edible Licking County program. Both are interested in learning more about careers in the culinary arts.


Project SEARCH is a one-year internship program for high school seniors with disabilities, who aim to achieve competitive employment. The students will spend their entire school day on site with Licking Memorial Health Systems(LMHS). To learn more, please attend an Open House on Wednesday, February 24 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at LMHS.
