Please join us for an informative series of discussions geared toward family members and caregivers of individuals supported by the Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
- Housing 101

Navigating the housing process can be a daunting task when you don’t feel like you know what the options are, what the laws are concerning your rights and responsibilities and what resources are available. Please join us for a guided discussion of the housing process that will provide the basics of what you need to know for a successful transition.
- Employment First

Presenter: Tom Hess, Employment First Project Manager at the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities
Tom will discuss current topics related to achieving employment goals, such as preparing for, developing and obtaining competitive employment.
- STABLE Accounts
6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, E. S. Weiant Center Gym, 116 N. 22nd St., Newark.
Presenter: Doug Jackson, Deputy Director-STABLE Account at the Office of the Ohio Treasurer of State
Doug will share information about STABLE Accounts, which allow individuals with disabilities to grow their money and save for long-term expenses.
After each presentation, department leaders of the Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities will share updates on their departments and what’s new at the Board.
