Cheree Nelson became LCBDD’s Director of Early Childhood on July 1, 2021. She was a former business owner and was hired by LCBDD in 2007 as a service coordinator. In 2016 she became the team leader for the Transition Youth Service Coordination department.

Cheree graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelors in Sociology/Criminology.

She is active at NewPointe Community Church. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, hiking, traveling, going to the beach, and spending time camping with her family.
