The Board’s preschool program merged with similar programs operated by the public school systems. Newark City Schools expanded their own preschool program to accommodate children living in the school district who attended E.S. Weiant. Flying Colors, the public preschool program operated by the Licking County Educational Services Center, accommodated additional students from county schools into their well-established program. State financial support for preschool programs received by the Board was re-allocated to Newark City Schools and the Licking County Educational Services Center.
