Cheree Nelson became LCBDD’s Director of Early Childhood on July 1, 2021. She was a former business owner and was hired by LCBDD in 2007 as a service coordinator. In 2016 she became the team leader for the Transition Youth Service Coordination department.

Cheree graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelors in Sociology/Criminology.

She is active at NewPointe Community Church and is a supporter of the  Ashland University men's soccer team, of which her son is a team member.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling to the beach, spending time with her dog and camping with her extended family.
