The 2025 Licking County Chamber of Commerce Groundhog Breakfast was more than just a cherished annual tradition—it was a powerful demonstration of the unity among the businesses and community organizations that make up our county.
With an estimated 650 people in attendance, business leaders, elected officials, and community members gathered to celebrate the resilience, growth and collaboration that define Licking County.
This year’s event was extra special to us since the Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities (LCBDD) sponsored the event. We had been anticipating and preparing for the event for several years. During our presentation, it was important to us to share several stories that emphasized the lifelong services that LCBDD provides to individuals and their families.
These services are made possible through the support LCBDD receives from citizens throughout our county. Because of you, we can provide valuable services that not only support peoples’ needs, but change lives. The growth of our board and achievements of people we support are a direct result of the support that Licking County has shown LCBDD over the last 58 years.
As always, the Groundhog Breakfast highlighted how Licking County thrives through collective efforts. The energy in the room was a testament to the shared vision of progress —businesses, nonprofits, and individuals working together to ensure a prosperous future for all. When we come together, we are unstoppable. Whether through economic development, community support, or advocacy for those with disabilities, Licking County’s strength lies in its people—united, determined, and ready for the future.
