After many years of planning, LCBDD was proud to sponsor the Licking County Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 Groundhog Breakfast.
Three families — at different points in their journeys — shared their stories in the video below, giving our community a glimpse of the opportunities that are made possible through their support.
We would like to express our gratitude to the Crider, Renner and Beattie families for not only telling their stories but allowing us collect video footage — as they lived their lives — for over a year.
Reece Thompson of Flicker-Lit Productions embraced this project with a commitment to telling amazing stories with compassion and respect. We are very thankful for all his work.
A special thank you to the Columbus Blue Jackets Learn to Play program, Jackson Intermediate and Lakewood City Schools, Magic Meadow Stables and the Licking/Knox Goodwill Industries’ Pony Express, Licking Memorial Health Systems, the Miracle League of Central Ohio, The Donna Jean Center and CSS Licking County, the Granville Angels Foundation and Newark Station for welcoming us to capture footage. Community partnerships are so important in the work we do, so it felt very natural to collaborate. The finished product is a testament to the benefits of working together.
Thank you to the Licking County Chamber of Commerce for allowing us to be involved in the 2025 Groundhog Breakfast and inspiring the creation of this video. And lastly, to the Licking County community for your continued, generous support of LCBDD. Because of you, we can continue to give families hope and change lives. Thank you. #LCGH2025 #BecauseofYouWeCan
