(In June) we went on a “private jet” to the Dominican Republic with my entire family. We landed and there was a shuttle that took us to our destination that we were staying. OMG, it was a fantastic resort, it had a pool, there was a beach, a spa, a game room, a gym and a beautiful view of the ocean all around us. I said, “ITS LIKE A DREAM COME TRUE.”
Every day, we had a leisurely relaxing morning then we had a few choices of activities like shuffleboard, kayaking, paddle boarding, tennis, pickleball, volleyball, basketball and board games.
We finally learned a great new experience in our resort? There was a folklore dance crew that came and put on a show for us. It was a great way of learning something new! I loved it. Once we got up there, we were dancing the night away.
Some of us did some karaoke and it was just a fun thing to do especially when we are with a group of people on vacation. We had lots of laughs together as we were getting our groove on and we sang lots of different songs from each and every one of us.
On one of those days, we went down to the beach. It was like seven miles away! We did paddle boating, went on a banana boat and tubing. It was a little crazy out there in the ocean.
We got to lay out and had some barbecue and it was a hot one. I’m glad we survived.
We took a sunset cruise but it felt like a beautiful breeze, being out on the boat. That night we had a great movie night, we watched “School of Rock” under the stars.
I had an amazing, exquisite experience of my own adventure with many people that I admired! We went horse-back riding and then a little bit later we went to visit the ANI Art Academies Dominican Republic and met talented artists and discovered the inspiration of the work of that non-profit organization. WOW, they did a wonderful work that I got so excited to see.
Then it was time to say goodbye to the tropical paradise resort!
