I grew up with many animals when I was young and my family and I have been animal lovers since forever. We had three Boston terriers, their names were Oasie, Ellie and Bailey. We had a tabby and an orange cat named Tiger and Pumpkin. I got to name my kitties.

When we were kids, we got a golden retriever named Nikki but he was a good boy until he ran away.

My dad and his brother started their own business called “The Ackerley Brothers Farm” for a while and they owned lots of thoroughbred horses. My dad named one of the horses after me and it was called “Star Of Alexis.” 

When I moved to Ohio, I always wanted to be out in the country and start doing horse back riding for fun. I always loved horses since I was little and enjoyed reading books about them.

I lived with a friend of mine and her family and I got to know her two dogs, Mollie and Maggie, and her two cats Kona and Miles. They were all very nice and calm around me.

We got Dexter while we were at our old house. He has been following me around and coming onto my lap while watching TV and especially coming onto my bed and laying beside me and it has been a great amazing memory that I will have forever. 

This has been a great experience for me especially by getting inspired by many different parts of my life and by learning new ways to make myself feel happy and know who I am.
