Sandy Rich has one message for Licking County residents.
“I want to remind everyone to wear their mask and stay safe,” she said. “We are in this together Licking County.”
Sandy, of Pataskala recently started a new job at Burger King in Hebron. But she’s had years of experience in the food industry, first at Denison University and then Wendy’s.
She’s excited about her new opportunity on their kitchen crew, which she describes as “the right fit.”
Not only is Sandy celebrating a new job, but in November she will mark the fifth anniversary of her decision to move into her own trailer and live independently.
It hasn’t always been easy, especially being home so much during the COVID-19 pandemic, Sandy said.
“I’m taking it one day at a time,” she said. “It does affect people mentally but you’ve just got to power through it.”
She’s trying to find safe ways to get back into power lifting and participate in West Licking Special Olympics.
Sandy said she’s thankful her coworkers and their customers have been very supportive and are following COVID safety measures.
“I want everyone to stay safe,” she said.
