The 2018 Project SEARCH interns celebrated their graduation on May 21.
Introducing the graduating interns of the 2018 Project SEARCH program at Licking Memorial Health Systems!
Congratulations to Chris Armstrong, Elise Barth and Tanner Riley, of Granville High School, Faith Burgess of Watkins Memorial High School, Sharon King, Amanda McQueen and Jace Williams of Newark High School, Kamaya Palumbo of Utica High School and Kendall Wolfe of Northridge High School.
Throughout the school year, each graduate completed three internships. Thirteen different departments offered the students internship positions, which gave them a wide variety of job skills from taking initiative and interacting with patients to using technology and working a cash register.
The interns also completed classroom work on life skills, money management and applying and interviewing for jobs.
We are thrilled to report that Sharon, Elise, Kamaya and Kendall have all been hired at LMH and the other interns are in the process of applying for jobs in the community. Some are in the process of filling out applications and completing interviews.
A huge thank you to all the partners who make this program possible, including Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities, the Licking County ESC, Greenleaf Job Training Services, Inc. and of course Licking Memorial Hospital.
We are so proud of this group of young people and wish them all the best!
