With support from LCBDD, family and friends, Mollie Ridgley is celebrating a sensational 60th year.
Mollie Ridgley has spent this year celebrating a big milestone.
The Heath woman turned 60 on June 26 and has spent the last eight months experiencing a variety of adventures.
As a birthday gift, her sister, Lois Ridgley, has promised to take her sister on 60 sensational experiences before the end of the year.
They participated in a Bubble Run, took a river board cruise, traveled to see family and friends and visited a variety of central Ohio attractions including the zoo and the circus.
Their year of memorial moments continues in October when they’ll travel to Disney World to visit the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.
Mollie, who has cerebral palsy, is well known in the Heath community and worked at LICCO Inc. for many years.
As she has gotten older, Mollie has needed additional support and The Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities (LCBDD) was able to help — connecting her family with resources to provide her with additional caretakers.
Mollie’s service coordinator, Megan Brush, always goes the extra mile to make sure Lois and her family have the answers and information they need.
“We are grateful for everything (the board) has done for us,” Lois said. “It’s changed our lives.”
