Our Board helps recruit, manage and develop supports to ensure Licking County residents who have developmental disabilities have safe and desirable housing. This is accomplished through partnerships with the Licking County Coalition For Housing, Center for Disability Services, and the Licking Metropolitan Housing Authority. We also help to coordinate home modifications as needed.

Home Ownership
We invited Housing and Family Trust experts Bob Laux and David Zwyer, Esq. to present information to Licking County residents and families. Bob is the President of Wild River Consulting and the Author of “Laux Homeowner ebook” A handbook for home ownership. David is the former executive director of the Ohio Disabilities Council and currently is the Director of the Community Fund Management Foundation for Central Ohio. Fair Housing
If there are questions regarding landlord or tenant rights and responsibilities, including discrimination, here is an excellent resource for information:

Licking Metropolitan Housing Authority Waiting List
It currently takes an average of two years to be added to the Licking Metropolitan Housing Authority’s waiting list and another two years to obtain a voucher. Therefore, it is very important to get on the waiting list as soon as possible if a person believes they may need future rental assistance. Rental assistance can be declined if it is not needed. We work closely with the Licking Metropolitan Housing Authority to coordinate waiting list sign-ups and voucher distribution, so it is also important for individuals and families to communicate their need for rental assistance as this is helpful in facilitating that process.
