Animal Adventures is a cooperative educational effort of the Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities and Licking County 4-H. Animal Adventures is made possible through financial support from the Licking County Farm Bureau.
Through Animal Adventures, participants with disabilities will be paired with 4-H and FFA mentors to learn about an animal of their choice. After a meet and greet at the Hartford fairgrounds (July 9 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. OR July 18 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.), they will work together to exhibit or “show” the animal at the 2023 Hartford Independent Fair. The show will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 6 at the B Carr Pavilion, on the Hartford Fairgrounds.
Animal Adventures welcomes youth between the ages of 8 and 19. Participants do not have to be supported by the Licking County
Board of Developmental Disabilities, but must reside within the Hartford Fair District Licking County, Knox County (Hilliar/Milford/Miller Townships), or Delaware County (Berkshire/Harlem/ Porter/Trenton Townships).
