On April 2, my dad and his secretary got me a flight to Houston, Texas. I got to spend my Easter weekend with my family! My weekend was filled with lots of happiness, hugs and lots of laughter. I haven’t seen my family for a very long time, since COVID.
Every time I go on a plane it makes me think about all the times we all had when we were kids and we celebrated Easter by taking pictures while sitting on the ground filled with bluebonnets. A lot of times when I sit by the window on the plane, it actually makes me feel good about myself. It has always been very exciting, looking out the window when it’s daylight and also in the evening time. I feel all the excitement that I have been thinking about, sometimes it gets a little emotional at times.
I like to share with people all of my stories that are based in my life. I like to think all of the happiest memories that I cherish with my parents and my three brothers that I love so much.
When I got into the Houston Airport, I met my dad at baggage claim and I was really happy to see him. My father had an idea to go and visit Brenham and take some pictures of all the bluebonnets. In my opinion, it was amazing and especially on a gorgeous day. He wanted to fly his drone way up high in the sky and took lots and lots of photos. They were awesome.
It was a glorious evening to smell a bunch of flowers out there in the field and the wind was blowing and it felt really nice to be outside. It was fantastic and beautiful weather we have in Houston. I felt so much alive being surrounded with lovely colors of spring and also by smelling the flowers that makes you want to smile.
When I woke up that morning I was very happy and comfortable. I slept in an amazing bed and I felt like I wanted to sleep in. It was quite and very peaceful until I heard bird sounds outside of my window. It was the perfect way to wake up.
I decided to explore my childhood home is because I love going down memory lane from my past and walking into the library and seeing a lot of pictures of me and my family that are hanging on every wall in the house that my dad took. And also the pictures sitting on the shelves you know that people might like to enjoy.
I saw a pool table and I decided to play on my own. I use to play this for a very long time, even when I come and visit Houston. Sometimes when I crack, those balls they go into the holes. But sometimes I don’t miss it that often.
One day, I got to stay at my brother’s house with my sister-in-law and my adorable little nephew. When I got to their house, I was helping to get Aiden out of the car, and out of nowhere someone came toward me and it was a new puppy. OMG! The puppy and I were excited to see each other. It was so so cute! He has a pretty little face and wanted to be held by his Auntie Lexi. He was very playful. I got to play with him all afternoon. His name is Baxter and he is a Cavalier King Charles spaniel.
That evening, I played outside with Aiden and the puppy for a little while until our Chinese food arrived. While we ate dinner together, we watched a new movie on Disney Plus, “Mulan”.
On Sunday, April 4 was a happy Easter. Kristy and Andrew came by to dad’s house. We all went into the swimming pool with Aiden. I love when he is laughing and giggling and he was very smiley. He was walking around the hot tub and he picked up my coffee cup that Andrew brought for me and Aiden accidentally threw my cup in the pool, because we were in the hot tub.
But the new puppy got to swim in the big pool and he did a little doggy paddle in the pool and it was so adorable. We were all sitting in the hot tub and watching Aiden swim and he was splashing me and his parents as well. He swam towards me and he let me hold him, and I gave him kisses on his cheeks. But he was playing around. That moment that I had was REALLY SPECIAL to me. I know he is coming around to get to know his Auntie Lexi. It makes me feel really happy to be with him. I love when he is around me. I never felt like that before, ever in my whole life. That little guy he is a very important nephew to me. I had so much fun!
So, I went to stay over at their house. Kristy and I had our day planned for the next day. That morning Kristy and I went to workout at the gym together. We both did our own workout. She was with her trainer for about an hour. We went for a walk and we got some coffees and went home. Kristy got a call from Aiden’s school and he had a little bit of an allergy so we were taking him to the doctor, and see if he will be okay. We had to get him so the doctor can just to check up on him. But he will be fine.
I was pushing Aiden on the swings for a little bit. I played tennis with my dad’s trainer and his name is Brian. He is a really good tennis player. I could play tennis for hours but I know sometimes taking breaks is actually good for you.
So, Kristy and I did hard core boxing for one hour. We went to get some sushi and go Mother’s Day shopping that afternoon. It was really fun. I love doing things like this with just Kristy and me together and spending our girls day out.
I spent my evening at Andrew and Kristy’s house and we were watching “Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery”. That was my last night in Houston, Texas. I really had a fun and exciting visit with my family.
On Friday afternoon I got to see my mom for a little bit. We both had a good mother and daughter talk. On Saturday morning I went to see my Aunt Anne and my uncle’s lake house. I also got to go to an art museum with my other Aunt Margie and her family.
I had a fun relaxing vacation!
