SUMMARY:OCALI Family Center Third Thursday Information Series
DESCRIPTION:On the Third Thursday of each month\, OCALI offers an online information broadcast specifically for families of children with disabilities.  You’ll learn from experts in the field and from other parents as they talk about a range of topics and identify resources to help families. \nOn April 21st at 6:30 pm\, the Third Thursday topic is :  Out and About:  Thinking About Summer Activities for your Child with a Disability.  Access this web address:   http://www.ocali.org/center/family.  Can’t attend the live stream?  No worries.  All sessions are recorded and archived on the Family Center website.  You can tune in anytime. \nThe unstructured time during the summer break from school can be difficult for parents of school age children to plan for\, but it can be even more challenging for parents of children with disabilities.  This Third Thursday will focus on summer break activities parents can consider that will support their child’s integration into the community by teaching them basic life skills.  Remember\, we are all a part of our community and we all need to learn the skills to help us participate. \n
