SUMMARY:Dog Language
DESCRIPTION:The Licking Park District will host Heather Luedecke\, owner of Delighted Dog Training Academy\, LLC\, for a series of presentations in 2016. She is a certified dog trainer and behavior specialist. The focus of these talks will be to help people learn more about dog body language and behavior. These will be geared towards the dog owners that are out and about with their dog on a leash\, or at a dog park and coming into contact with the general public. There will be an emphasis on safety and bite prevention. No dogs please! \nDOG LANGUAGE: Dogs use visual communication for most interactions with other dogs. When we wait until they bark or growl\, sometimes it is too late. Learn how to read dog communication and learn some strategies to keep your dog safe when they meet other dogs. This talk will focus on the distance increasing and distance decreasing signals dogs give when they see one another both on leash and off leash. \nJames Bradley Senior Center at Infirmary Mound Park. $5 person \nRegister through our website calendar at www.lickingparkdistrict.com or call 740-587-2535. \n  \n
