Summer is finally here and we are so excited about some new projects! We are in the process of interviewing candidates for three Disability Ambassador positions. The Ambassadors will be people with disabilities, supported by LCBDD, who will help us with community outreach and education. We hope they will be able to share their stories about living with a disability while helping us build a more inclusive community where our differences are honored and celebrated. We have had conversations with a number of great candidates so far! The application window will close on July 13 and we hope our new Ambassadors will start in early September — presenting to our staff, joining us at community events and eventually presenting to our community partners.  Keep an eye on our social media for our Ambassador introductions!

Finally, if you have other ideas, priorities, or feedback to share, now is the time!  We are beginning to build our three-year strategic plan that will cover 2027 through 2029.
